Annii! My name is Sam I am the Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer at Nipissing University. I am a member of Tallcree Cree Nation in Northern Alberta. I grew up in Southern Ontario and now call the North Bay area home. I moved to the area in 2013 where I started my education at Nipissing University. For me my education was more then learning academics, it was learning about my culture. Here is where I met one of my cultural teachers where I have been learning many artforms including beadwork, mitt making, moccasin making, deer hide tanning and many more. This is my second year travelling with the APSIP team, I travel parts of Northern Ontario as well as some Southern areas. I am excited to help all students find the path for education that works best for you.
