Our Vision

As a collective, the Aboriginal Post-Secondary Information Program (APSIP) strives to put the student first by working together in order to find the best program and school for each student. Indigenous student recruitment is approached holistically by sharing personal experiences and stories and showing the variety of pathways available to attaining higher education regardless of their educational background. For many educational stakeholders, and in particular, northern Ontario and Quebec communities, APSIP is the only exposure to post-secondary education opportunities their students may receive.

APSIP will function on the understanding and principle that Indigenous people can best define the needs of Indigenous learners and their communities, as well as increase the educational enrollment and attainment of their members. APSIP’s ability to bring understanding of the formal educational process to community will increase the enrollment and retention of Indigenous learners within the post-secondary system.
